A Florida Sunrise - 10/10/11
Uneventful drive, good roads, good company :)) and just an overall pleasant day. We listened to more of our Power Of Intention - we're on the third time through it now and still finding something new every time we listen and spent awhile talking about life, love and the universe which we're also watching right now. We got the blue ray of the Histroy Channel special with all 5 seasons and it's really mind blowing. When you start hearing numbers like a million billion, and start to really understand the immensity of the universe and the insignificance of our little speck it's a good reality check. Make us think of "rule number 6".
Don't know rule #6? Get the book or the audio - we have the audio and it's really good - and you'll find out what Rule 6 is :))
We're parked in the parking lot for the night right across from J&P Cycles. I have a lot of their stuff on my ride, and if we last till they open in the morning may have some more tomorrow. But we may get ansy to get the last 100 miles and get set up, so may not make it here till they open. We'll see in the morning.
|10/02/11 - Camelot Rv Park,
We're back for the winter. We didn't make it till J&P opened, but maybe we'll stop by when we run up for Octoberfest or Bike Week if we do either this year. Weather was great when we got back and for our first few days in town so I did get a bike ride to the office and back but the forecast for the rest of the week is pretty wet.
Unless something exciting comes up this page will be it for the rest of the year. We are still plannng on taking a few trips while we're here, but have to see how that works out around Sheila's and my Dr appts and all that necessary kind of stuff.
We're both reading - The Power Of Intention, and watching The Universe (we got the DVD of the series). Interesting how science is finally catching up with the mystics who've known all along that the universe was a vibration. If you haven't read it I highly recommend Power Of Intention. I've been practicing it most of my adult life and it really does work :))
Till next time - be safe and watch out for that Bird of Paradise <:~o
So love natures beauty and remember Rule #6
|10/21/11 - Morning Walk - no
travel notes, just something worth sharing and another Sunrise :))
RULE #6, from The Power Of Intention, by Dr. Wayne Dyer
Two prime ministers are sitting in a room discussing affairs of state. Suddenly a man bursts in, apoplectic with fury, shouting and stamping and banging his fist on the desk. The resident prime minister admonishes him: “Peter,” he says, “kindly remember Rule Number 6,” whereupon Peter is instantly restored to complete calm, apologizes, and withdraws. The politicians return to their conversation, only to be interrupted yet again twenty minutes later by a hysterical woman gesticulating wildly, her hair flying. Again the intruder is greeted with the words: “Marie, please remember Rule Number 6.” Complete calm descends once more, and she too withdraws with a bow and an apology. When the scene is repeated for a third time, the visiting prime minister addresses his colleague: “My dear friend, I’ve seen many things in my life, but never anything as remarkable as this. Would you be willing to share with me the secret of Rule Number 6?” “Very simple,” replies the resident prime minister. “Rule Number 6 is ‘Don’t take yourself so damn seriously.’” “Ah,” says his visitor, “that is a fine rule.” After a moment of pondering, he inquires, “And what, may I ask, are the other rules?” “There aren’t any.”
|11/11/11 - Katherine Hanna Park,
Sheila needed to come up to the Mayo Clinic here in Jacksonville for a lung transplant evaluation, so we looked around and this city park was the closest park we could find to the clinic. On reflection we're glad we picked it. It's a great park, trees everywhere, so no satellite, but we have movies to watch for entertainment and the air card works well for inet access. It has the usual 'smokey' problem that we find with public parks everywhere that they allow camp fires, but then camp fires are part of the camping tradition for most people. So we just stay inside in the evening when everyone sitting round the camp fire.
11/13 we got out for a bike ride - picnic at the beach, a ferry ride and just a great ride up the A1A along the coast.
|12/20/11 - Katherine Hanna Park,
After a very short sojourn back to Camelot they wanted Sheila back for some more testing so we're back up in Jacksonville so she can get more testing done. Test are Christmas week so we decided to beat the rush and came up the 20th. So Christmas in Jacksonville this year :)). Also got a much needed test drive for our new iPhone tracking system, which was sorely needed and gave us some debug info to get that working better. As you can see TisIt is all decked out in his Christmas outfit and ready for some paper shredding....
As you can see a lot of paper ripping occurred - a lot of smiles and a great time were had by all :))
